Candle Safety & Use Instructions

Welcome to our candle care and usage guide! Here, we will provide you with essential tips and tricks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your scented candles.

1. Safety Precautions
Our scented candles are not edible and should be kept away from children and pets. While our candles are designed to create a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, it is important to ensure their safe use.

2. Size Variations
Please carefully consider the size of the candle before making a purchase. Handmade scented candles may have slight discrepancies in size due to their artisanal nature. These variations are normal and do not affect the quality or performance of the candle.

3. Proper Burning Technique
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of our candles, it is recommended to follow the proper burning technique. During the first burning, allow the candle to burn for approximately 2 hours or until a complete wax pool forms. The size of the wax pool formed during the initial burn will determine the burning path of the candle in subsequent uses. This is because candles have a memory and incomplete or short burn times during the first use may result in inefficient burning or difficulty igniting the candle later on. It is advised to limit each burning session to a maximum of 3 hours.

4. Trim the Candle Wick
Before lighting your candle, it is important to trim the wick to approximately 0.5 cm. Trimming the wick helps to control the size of the flame and prolong the burning time. For best results, trim the wick to a suitable length before each use.

Note: When using the candle for the first time, it is recommended to trim the wick frequently. If the wick bends during the burning process, extinguish the candle and trim the wick. Additionally, if excessive candle tears flow out, extinguish the candle and allow it to cool completely before using it again.

5. Irregular-Shaped Candles
Irregular-shaped candles, such as those without a container, may have a shorter burning time compared to cup wax candles. This is due to the constraints of the shape and the lack of container wrapping. Please keep this in mind when using irregular-shaped candles.

6. Storage Conditions
It is crucial to store your scented candles in a cool and dry place. Exposing them to direct sunlight can lead to excessive temperature and light, which can cause the fragrance to be released too quickly. This can result in a shorter lifespan of your candles and a less enjoyable scent experience. Therefore, it is recommended to keep your candles away from windows or any other areas where they may be exposed to direct sunlight.

7. Handle with Care
Our candles are handmade using a combination of soy wax and beeswax, resulting in a relatively soft texture. It is important to note that some minor scratches or imperfections may be present due to the nature of the manufacturing process. These imperfections do not affect the quality or performance of the candles.

8. Safe Extinguishing
When extinguishing the candle, please avoid blowing it out directly with your mouth. This can cause unnecessary mess and potential hazards. Instead, use a candle snuffer or gently place the lid back on the candle jar to smother the flame. This ensures a safe and clean extinguishing process.

By following these simple tips, you can enhance your candle experience and enjoy the delightful aromas for a longer period of time. Remember to always prioritize safety and never leave a burning candle unattended.
